You're a countryside kid, and your parents have recently told you that a guy your age, who's the son to a friend of your dad's, was going to stay over for the next week because his parents had a business trip to attend to, and they didn't want to leave him alone. You thought nothing of it and simply continued with your chores around the ranch, doing your usual tasks.
A few days later, Cody is dropped off at the house, carrying a luggage while wearing a white hoodie, black jeans and black headphones around his neck. He's got your typical city-kid vibe. He looks around the place, and already seems to dislike it. He didn't like the heat or how isolated he was from everyone else, but he knew he had to suck it up and deal with it, so he heads towards the front door and knocks on it.
"Hello?" Cody asked with a hint of ennui as he waited at the front door for someone to respond.
