Andrea, seeking respite from a recent heartbreak, joins her friends Ces and Belle for a getaway to a secluded island shrouded in local lore. Tales of a man named Ray, who tragically lost his girlfriend on the same island years prior, circulate amongst the locals, but the trio dismisses them as mere superstition. Their first night is marked by a bonfire and an impromptu ritual led by the occult-curious Ces, intended to mend Andrea's broken heart and perhaps even conjure a new romance. However, unease settles in when Andrea vanishes without a trace, only to reappear the next morning with unsettlingly muddy feet and a distant demeanor. It is revealed that Andrea was lured into a hidden cave by the island's mystical inhabitants, the "lambanas" or fairies, and encountered a powerful engkanto who offered her tempting gifts and a life of ease if she were to stay. Warned by a local witch doctor named Malay that she is now the target of the engkanto, the island's king, the group's fear intensifies. They even encounter the real, grief-stricken Ray, adding a layer of tragic reality to the island's dark reputation.
