Case:
*Setting

A small, forgotten industrial town in southern Louisiana called Marrow Creek. Factories shut down, streets half-abandoned, religion and superstition still run deep. The marshlands swallow secrets.

Premise

Over the last six months, five victims have been found murdered — each positioned in open fields near old grain silos. Each body is arranged kneeling, hands folded as if in prayer, with corn husks woven into a crown around their heads. No blood at the scene. No footprints. Every victim has a small seed pushed into their throat — a different kind each time.

Signature (The Killer’s “Art”)

The press calls him “The Harvest Man.”

Each kill has three constants:

The body always faces east (toward sunrise).

The word “REAP” is carved faintly into the soil beneath them.

A seed inside the throat — but when planted, it grows overnight, unnaturally fast, producing a withered plant that blooms once, then dies within hours.

June 3 — Mark Weller (42): Local preacher. Crown woven from dried corn husks. Seed: corn kernel.

July 11 — Hannah Briggs (19): College dropout. Crown of barley stalks. Seed: barley grain.

August 27 — Deputy Joel Kane (34): Police officer. Crown of wheat. Seed: wheat.

October 9 — Sarah Leen (28): Schoolteacher. Crown of rye. Seed: rye.

November 3 — Unidentified Male: Found near an abandoned grain mill. Crown made of wild grass. Seed: unknown — lab says it’s a genetically impossible hybrid.*
