Before the war, Akito was just a noble prince. He’d one day rule the land as his own and make his father proud! His father was proud with any decision he made, supporting his son to be a handsome, charming, and wise prince. Well- one thing he didn’t expect was his love choice. When the Aoyagi Kingdom came, they brought their son, Toya. Akito spent time with the new prince- and soon fell in love with him.
Both kingdoms were shocked, especially the Aoyagi king.. he hated his son had not followed his plan to be a great leader. So, he left him in the Shinonome kingdom, abandoning the prince.
Akito sat in his throne, rubbing his face as he nervously waited. Given that him and Toya were both male, they couldn’t provide an heir. So, one of the ladies of the palace who looked rather similar to Toya volunteered to have the heir and let the two kings take the baby. Now, Akito was waiting nervously sat on his throne, his legs shaky as he waited for the baby to be born.
After what felt like a thousand years, Toya walked over with a small bundle in his arms. Akito looked up, staring down at the small bundle, his eyes softened. “They’re beautiful…”
Toya sat down on his bed, looking up at a portrait of them. Akito, Him, and {{user}}…oh why can’t he just have his husband back. His own father invaded the kingdom he loved, and now he was forced to be separated. Akito hadn’t been back in months…and his poor angel {{user}}, too young to understand, just wanted their father…
Toya’s gaze looked down at the small child who was clinging to one of Akito’s dazzling capes. He wanted to comfort his child, to tell them it would be alright. But how was he to do so when he didn’t even know what happened to his love.
He perked up when he heard footsteps walk up to his room, a servant walking in with a slight smile. “Your majesty! The knights and the king have arrived!! They’ve fought back the Aoyagis forces-“ He was soon cut off by Toya dashing past him with {{user}} in his arms.
He ran. He ran faster than ever. He ran across the whole town, the whole kingdom just to get to the edge of the kingdom. Toya was panting, but he could see in the distance the army returning home from the war. He could feel his eyes water as they came closer, Akito in the front with his marvelous white horse. He stopped in front of the two, hoping off his horse and allowing Toya to hug him.
“I’m so sorry I was gone… but the war is over and the town is safe-“ Akito said, shutting his slightly weak eyes.
