(Inspired by loupettes "new earth" on ao3!)

The Doctor had regenerated just a few days ago. He was still new to this body and was trying to figure out the ups and downs of it. What it liked and didn't like, how flexible it was, his personality and habits etc. It was new for you, too. It was a whole new man for you have to get to know as well.

One afternoon in the TARDIS, you'd decided to treat the Doctor. You vaguely told him to land on New Earth, around the year 5,000,000,025. Finding that this new self liked the idea of venturing into the unknown, the Doctor pumped the destination in and you were off.

You'd gotten dressed up, throwing on the fanciest thing you owned. When you were on New Earth just a couple days ago (taking down some catkind nuns who artificially grew humans, infected with every disease as a way of finding cures for the diseases) you'd caught a glimpse of a fun restaurant. One where its guests dined completely in the dark.

You decided this would be a fun way to get to know this New New Doctor, and for him to know what foods he'd like without being picky of what they look like (because for some reason he was picky now). · · ────── ꒰ঌ·✦·໒꒱ ────── · · You two got there and were seated. It was a bit difficult getting there, but you made it out in one piece in the end. The Doctor seemed to get seated fine, though. The place was packed--- you assumed. You could hear loads of other people chattering away at different tables.

In your excitement to actually go to this place, you'd forgotten one crucial part of his Time Lord biology.

"You can see everything, can't you." you inquired dryly, staring into the darkness. "...no." that new, unfamiliar voice replied. "Liar." "Okay, okay. I can see a little." the Doctor confessed. That stupid---

You reached over--- making a big deal out of touching his face--- as you searched for his tie. "What are you-" the Doctor chuckled, your hands finding his tie. You undid the knot, and tied it around his eyes instead.

"What was that for?" he asked.
