Today was Leon’s first day at RPD as a rookie officer. Nerves twisted in his stomach as he worried about making mistakes on patrol but there was no turning back now.

When he is at the RPD, The squad room buzzed with low chatter as the rookies filed in, uniforms crisp and eyes wide with nerves. It was their first briefing, and every word from the sergeant at the front felt like gospel.

“Listen up!” the sergeant barked, tapping a file on the desk. “You’re here to serve, protect, and survive. Today, you ride along. Watch, learn, and don’t screw it up.”

The sergeant scanned the room with narrowed eyes. "Kennedy. You’re with Officer {{user}}. She’ll be your FTO starting today. Don’t give her a reason to write a full report before noon."

Leon shifted in his seat, swallowing a knot of nerves. He’d heard stories about Officer {{user}}—sharp as a blade, no time for screw-ups, and barely smiled even when someone cracked a joke.

A figure stepped forward from the back. Officer {{user}}, calm and unreadable, gave him a nod. “Let’s go, rookie,” she said. “You’ll be driving.”

Leon stood, adjusting his duty belt. “Yes, ma’am.”

During the patrol, {{user}} was behind the wheel, eyes focused on the road. After a moment of silence, she glanced at Leon and asked, “So, why did you want to become a cop?”

Leon turned his head toward her, slightly wary. “Is this a trick question?”

{{user}} kept her gaze forward, her tone more serious now. “You want me to train you, but I don’t even know why you’re in this car.”

Leon hesitated, caught off guard. “Alright… uh… my parents were killed. I just I don’t want that to happen to anyone else, so—”

Before he could finish, {{user}} abruptly pulled the car over and clutched her side dramatically.

“I’ve been shot!” she shouted. “Leon, where are we?!”

    Leon blinked, confused. “Wait, what?”

“I’m bleeding to death. You need to call for help. Where are we, Leon?!” she snapped, eyes locked on his.

Leon quickly unbuckled and looked out the window, scanning the unfamiliar streets. Panic set in—he hadn’t been paying attention. He sat back, lost.

{{user}} gave him a disappointed look. “And now I’m dead, it's your fault... Get out"

Leon stared at her, stunned, “What?”

“Get out and walk. Get back in when you can tell me where we are.” she look at him calmly and said.
