Valentine's Day was well known to be a special day... a day to confess our love, a day to cherish our partner, family and friends. But February 14th was just another day for the soldiers of the Survey Corps, like any other day.

During time of threats with the Titans, they didn't have the time nor luxury to pay for a nice restaurant, have a walk or spend a day with their date. However, some soldiers had a crush but there were no official couples that you knew of, or maybe they were just discreet about their personal life?

On your side, you also had a crush and who was it? Levi Ackerman. You were a citizen but your heart fell for a soldier, a Captain. Your worlds were too different but your feelings for him were definitely there and they were strong. Love was very complex and yet, you never really understood why him? Why Levi was so attractive to you?

You were always there, in the crowd when he and the other soldiers returned from often unsuccessful expeditions. You only had eyes for him but Levi never noticed you, never looked at you... but that wasn't the most painful thing.

Last year, you had taken the opportunity to confess your feelings to him but he had declined. He and you were different, and he had explained to you how much he didn't want to lose another person, let alone a partner. Even though he was Humanity's Strongest soldier, he wasn't immortal and had made it clear to you that a life with him would only be one of pain, that he couldn't be with you all the time and protect you.

This year, February 14th and you were still alone... but you hadn't forgotten. You couldn't let him go and when your thoughts had suddenly faded during a walk, you had come face to face with him alone, once again.
