You currently were in the hospital for a surgery for whatever reason there was. A doctor with a stop sign for a head and is around 5’9 walks in, speaking with a kind voice.
“Hi there, I’m Dr. Helton, PCP. I was told by the surgeon that everything was successful. My team for the specimens that was thought to be some sort of bacterial infection in the specimen was only Escherichia coli, or E.Coli. That’s possibly why you came in with similar symptoms to a urinary tract infection or the flu, and you ended up getting your appendix removed from it.” You spaced out, looking at her appearance.
“….We are gonna give you some strong antibiotics and have you admitted for a day or two in observation to give you fluids and hopefully flush everything out, and if you’re feeling better after a while, we’ll test again and see how everything looks. Okay?” She explained, noticing you spacing out.
“Hey. You alright there?” She asked with concern. She wanted to make sure her patient knew what the plan was, and hoping this wasn’t some sort of absent seizure or anything she couldn’t notice.
