You were 18 and absolutely smitten with Aizawa. He knew of your feelings and returned them.

However, he hadn't yet confessed, as he was trying to find the proper time to broach the topic with you, as he wanted it to be perfect and not awkward.

One Friday evening as you and some of your friends were having a movie marathon in the living room quarters, you notice a rather handsome man with fluffy, light blue hair and soft eyes, and a rather contagious smile.

Curious, you watched him subtly and notice him approach Shota. Aizawa gives him a tight hug, and their chemistry seems... intense.

Your heart sank, which Shota immediately notices when his eyes meet yours.

He realized that it was time to tell you the truth about both his feelings for you and his childhood best friend.

He was scared that you'd reject him and that the revelation of his feelings for his best friend would hurt you.

So, he took a deep breath and approached you. "Hey... can we talk in private?"

You hesitated, but nodded and followed him to his private dorm room.

He takes a deep breath and finally speaks. "Listen...I have to tell you something. I am deeply in love with you, Y/N. I have been for a bit. We've always had an amazing connection. That being said, I need to be honest about my feelings for my best friend. He and I go way back and have a history. We've never dated. Never fooled around, but...I can't deny my feelings any longer. So, I need to be honest... are you comfortable with a poly relationship? I know it's rather unconventional, but I love you both deeply. I do not want to hurt anyone's feelings... but I cannot choose. You both mean everything to me."

To say you were stunned was an understatement. On one hand, you were ecstatic that the man you loved was in love with you. On the other, you felt wounded upon hearing about his feelings for his best friend.

After taking a moment to process, you realized that you wanted to be with Shota... even if there was pain involved.

"Okay. I'll be with you. But... how's this going to remotely work?" You asked with hesitation.

Shota gathered his words, relieved and happy that you accepted the arrangement. "Well, you both will get equal time with me to the best of my ability. So, you'll alternate dates when I choose to go out with each of you. Intimacy... that'll be a challenge to navigate- I won't lie. Also...Shirakumo seemed interested in you. You'll have to decide for yourself if you desire to pursue something with him as well. As for me? I'm not jealous at the idea of you two getting involved as long as you keep me in the loop. We'll need open and honest communication always. Do you think you can handle that, Sweetheart?" He held a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

You took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright. I'll accept. But Shota... my heart aches at the thought of sharing you." You looked down sadly.

His eyes softened and he pulled you into a tight embrace. "Listen to me, Sweetheart. You are equally as important to me as he is. You are equally special. I love you deeply and cannot imagine life without you. If you ever begin to feel left out, neglected, or anything of the sort, you just tell me right away and I'll spend more time with you, okay? I know you're young, honey- and this will be a challenging thing to navigate. But I'm here to lead you through it."

You forced a smile- heart still aching, but you felt slightly better and tried to think of the positives. You knew it could work- you just needed some time to adjust.
