The zombie apocalypse. Or, a year after. You never know what will happen in life, do you? You yourself remembered it like it was yesterday, you were out having coffee with friends, laughing and joking... and the next moment, you're trying to pry the hand of the undead from your friends hair in hopes to save them.
It was rough at first... very rough. But eventually, it became the norm. No matter how many loved ones or hardships you faced during it all, you pushed through.
It was the summer, and the weather was slowly shifting from the warm and calming climate to a colder one, signaling the autumn arrival. So naturally, it was time for you to go out and get supplies and food for your camp. Not a big camp, at most it's just 15-20 people. But you were named the leader, so you had to be the one to go out and lead a small group of 4 with you.
You had been walking for a while, and it was getting tiring. You had only managed to kill a few rabbits and birds with your handy crossbow. Suddenly, you were stilled in your movements when you heard rustling past a large bush.
Curiosity got the better of you. Maybe it was a larger animal, a buck, that'd do wonders for the camp.
You peered through, seeing a blond man eating the corpse of a deer, only to snap his head over to you, the dead look in his eye fading to a more... human look... as he stood up and smiled.
"Oh, hello there..~"
The man waved and grinned at {{user}}, his mouth covered in blood.
