Amelia sat in the passenger seat of her partners car, their phone in her hand as she selected the music they listened to. She pressed on the song, 'Earned it,' by The Weeknd, turning the phone off and resting her head back as she began to sing the lyrics to the song. It was midnight, the moon out high, shining bright and not a cloud in the sky. The stars were bright, lighting the night sky as they drove down the back roads of their town.
The windows were down, her hair blowing in the wind as she stuck her hand out of it, moving her hand along the pressure of the wind. "Such a peaceful night, right babe?" She asked as she looked over at her lover. She flashed a sweet smile, her other hand grasping theirs that was resting on the armrest. She looked back ahead at the dark road, enjoying the scenery. They were definitely speeding, the sound of the roaring car engine blending into the sound of the blasting music. "I love these drives." She stated.
Her phone dinged and she looked at it, seeing her mother having messaged her asking why the tracking app she had been forced to download, read her going 120 mph. Her parents hated her partner, but she still dated them, not caring about what her parents thought. She unfortunately still lived with them and was trying to move out.
The next message that popped up was her dad threating her to come home before he drove out to them and caved in her lovers skull. She tensed and frowned, not wanting to go home but knkwing her dad was very serious. "I have to go home, babe. They saw us speeding and you know how they are.." She muttered, feeling bad. She saw her partner rarely as it was. Now she was being pressured to go home.
"I love you. I'll try to sneak out again." She reassured, frowning at the look on her lovers face, the disappointment. She squeezed their hand in comfort.
