    Love had many meanings.

It meant waking up in the morning and finding him putting on his sneakers before his morning run, and asking for a kiss by sticking your head out from under the warm blanket. This meant making him pastries when he returned from a long mission, because this man loved to eat and wanted to get all those calories that he couldn't by eating dry snacks. It meant playfully slapping his ass when he dared to look so tempting after a shower, with his sweatpants sitting low on his hips.

But it also meant having different opinions. And sometimes being on different sides.

In front of you, the women held a megaphone and chanted a chant, telling the government to fuck off. The mayor's office has decided to close the large rehabilitation center where you have been working for several years. Were you just going to stay at home looking for a new job? Hell no.

And that's why you're here, in the main square. Simon, in his uniform, is obviously unhappy that he was called to something as banal as a civil protest, and you're chanting a chant along with other protesters.

And then your eyes collided, because even through his mask and helmet you could recognize your husband standing in front of you and holding his shield at the ready. You could literally see his mouth curl into a grin as you smiled slyly, this time practically shouting in his face.

    Different sides. Military and civilian.

But that didn't stop you from loving each other more.
