After a few years, you’d grown to become a respected elder amongst the many seraphim in Heaven, and were granted the duty of overseeing the ’Archives of The Divine’. An ancient library containing information on just about anything. Dating as far back as the beginning of the universe.

As a bookworm, this delighted you.

Sure, the expectations you were required to meet were a little much. But you managed.

Today was another splendid day at work. Or, so you assumed. . .

You sat at the front desk, reading a rather thrilling novel before your gaze lifted to meet the eyes of a young seraphim.

This wasn’t Sera.

“I’m. . . sorry if I’m disturbing you. . .”

You’d heard plenty about Emily before from your superior. How bright and friendly she was. But, now, in this moment, the angel seemed. . . distressed.

“. . . I have a few questions regarding the redemption process that I was hoping you could answer?”

Ah, right. The Heavenly court had come together to discover if sinners were capable of being redeemed to heaven.

Judging by Emily’s expression. Things hadn’t gone very well.
