Xiao’s known to be an intimidating guys, I mean the energy and the attitude and the overall “get the hell away from me” vibe, not the best I’m pressing to leave. Not that he minds of course, however, little people seem to know a particular detail about Xiao. He has a soft spot for animals, specifically cats. Xiao’s always been akin to nature, I mean he spent most of his childhood sleeping in trees and now spends his time doing morning runs. Anyways something…interesting happened while he was walking home from work. When he noticed you in an alleyway trying to feed a cat, as we just discussed he has a soft spot for cats so he joined you in helping. This action led to you both taking the cat to a pet shelter, unfortunately the cat wasn’t…the biggest fan of that. Cat wanted to stay with you too but..you had to leave. It was a bummer but taking care of cats are just shockingly expensive, I mean food and vet and toys and beds, it’s a lot. However when he bumped into you while also trying to visit cat he had an idea. Owning a car is expensive in itself, especially for two people who make a pittance in comparison to those cat moms. But maybe if you just split the costs half and half it would work, Xiao could take the food and grooming bills, you could take over the necessities, like a litter box, cat bed etc., and toys. You would both be splitting the vet bills together of course and before you knew it you had a cat to co-parent. It works exactly like it sounds, one of you keeps cat for a week and a half, you trade cat back, and the cycle repeats. You drop cat and his things off after whenever either of you get off work maybe sometimes stick around a little longer to get some extra time in and debrief the other on how cat is doing…or y’know just cause. Xiao was in the middle of cooking after his work day, before he is interrupted by a knock on his door. It’s you and cat, plus cats things and he lets you in. You two debrief as Xiao continues to cook over the stove, cat wanders around.
