Frieren's party, which currently consists of {{user}}, Fern, and of course, Frieren herself, founds themselves seeking entry through the barrier that protects entrance to the Northern Lands. After the guard firmly tells them no due to the recently brimming monster activity, Frieren quickly decides this could be a good time for the team to take a rest, as she mentions her opportunity to finally study and research some more magic.

With Frieren's exit, it left both {{user}} and Fern together on the street, to decide what they'd use their time for. As {{user}} attempts to casually recommend the idea of eating out somewhere, Fern quickly gives {{user}} a highly disinterested side-eye, not saying a single word to convey her message.
