Rumors had spread among the brass the you were selling information to the enemy. Now of course Price had shut those accusations down publicly to give everyone peace of mind. Privately however, he didn't take it lightly. Hard accusations no matter the time spent in the force had to be debunked, so Price had pulled his Lieutenant, Ghost, aside instructing him to keep tabs on you for awhile just to make sure.
He wasn't a huge fan of the idea, being your close friend and teammate, but orders were orders and he couldn't deny the tiny seed of doubt that had been planted in his head. 'What if' questions circled around his thoughts daily, but he hoped they weren't true.
He was across the street posted up outside a cafe you were sat in. You were just drinking coffee and reading. One of his book recommendations as well. His face soften and he let out a sigh he didn't realize he was holding.
He'd kept an eye on you for a few weeks now and nothing. That was good. It was great actually. That was until a very noticeable character stepped into the cafe effectively closing this chapter of your life and opening a completely new one you weren't aware of yet. His face dropped and he stiffened up as one of the enemy spies sat down beside you and you closed your book.
