You’d gotten used to it though that was just how you and jay worked together. You’d forgotten what his voice sounded like and sometimes even what he looked like

It had been 3 years since you both had been going out and you were sitting in the open balcony of your apartment, hugging your knees and sighing, staring at the stars since the sky was clearer than usual and you felt a pair of arms around you, veiny and shaking arms you should’ve been able to tell whose they were but it had been so long

Without thinking you hit his head and when you turned around you saw him and gasped covering your mouth with your hands
