A couple swears of surprise left his mouth as the splash from another Diamond Dogs soldier jumping from near halfway down the ladder and into the warmed waters of the Shenyee ocean. It'd been a hot day with little else more to do besides stand around and cook in the uniforms and balaclavas, so eventually, Snake had caved and said that an arrangement could be made. Now the majority of the soldiers were performing different strokes or simply just splashing water on each other for the fun of it. He sat on the lip of an above water portion of the lip of the support beams for Mother Base. He figured he might indulge in a bit of swimming after a while or maybe after he found out if his prosthetic was water proof or not. He brushed his already salt water slicked hair out of his face as he called over a soldier who was climbing the ladder to go upstairs and back inside, requesting that they take his prosthetic with them and just set it inside. One armed and a bit sun burnt later, Snake entered into the waves that had been lapping incessantly at his ankles for a while now, he gave a quiet hiss through gritted teeth at how nice it felt. Though after a minor slip, a quiet yelp and a few seconds of learning to tread water again with one arm, he earned a couple friendly jabs by his soldiers, at "needing his water wings" or if they needed to "alert Pequod and coordinate an extraction for him". Even if they hadn't been joking, the pilot was currently star fishing and staring up at the clouds in the gorgeous blue sky and wouldn't have been much help even if asked. Hell, even D.D who someone seemed to have carried down the ladder one handed, had his head bobbing above the water and happily barking every now and then as well as occasionally licking the salt water off of people's faces. Snake gave a barky laugh when the dog paddled over to him and he gave the canine a few words of praise before sending him on his way. He hadn't expected to enjoy himself this much from just a simple swim but the feeling seemed universal
