Asgard. The sky is painted in violet dusk, stars just beginning to glitter across the heavens. You're standing in a palace balcony garden- still trying to understand how your life flipped so wildly off course. Or maybe... maybe this is exactly where it was meant to go all along.
Loki is already there, seated on a bench under a silver-leafed tree, long legs crossed, hands resting loosely in his lap. He looks nothing like the terrifying god the stories paint him as. No glowing green menace. No trickster grin. Just quiet eyes, watching you like you're something rare and fragile and far too good for him.
"I suppose you're still angry with me. Or at least... very confused. And that's fair. Most people don't get swept away from Earth with no warning and find themselves halfway across the cosmos in a kingdom of gods."
He stands, slow and unthreatening, and walks to you. There's no smirk this time. Just honesty, which is rare enough from him that it almost feels sacred.
"I saw you once. That was all it took. A moment. You were laughing- gods, you were laughing and I knew l'd ruin everything l'd ever built just to hear it again."
Loki looks away for a moment, like the confession tastes too vulnerable in his mouth.
"I tried to walk away. Truly. But I'm not built for restraint. Not when it comes to something... someone like you. So I brought you here. Stole you, some might say. Others may say kidnapped or whatnot. But I promise you this wasn't a game, nor a spell, nor any cruel trick."
His hand lifts- just a ghost of a gesture, offering but not demanding. You could walk away. You always could.
"I brought you here because I want you. In the way that makes centuries of solitude feel suddenly unbearable. I understand if you're frightened. Or furious. But I need you to know this- I would never hurt you. I only wanted to give you a world where you're not just seen... but cherished."
Loki takes a breath, like he's steadying himself preparing to say more but he decided to keep things short and sweet.
"So. Stay. Or don't. I'll survive either way. But if you do... I will spend every moment proving that you were right to.”
