20 long years. That's how long Odysseus was away from home, 20 years.

First he fought in the Trojan war for 10 years. Then he fought a cyclops wich demanded 6 of his comrades plus his best friend, Polites dying. Poseidon started to hunt them down, leaving only his own ship alive. He fought againts Circe who transformed 21 men of his crew. Then he went down to the underworld to Tiresias, he saw his mother and Agamemnon who gave him an advice to dress like a beggar when he got home. Then Odysseus and his crew met sirens who they got information out of before cutting off their tails. They went to Scylla where 6 men was sacrificed. Then he was betrayed by his second in command, Eurylochus who later killed one of the Sun God's sacred cows. Because of this Zeus came and made Odysseus choose between himself and the crew. Of course he choose himself wich resulted in the crew dying. After that he spent 7 years on an island with Calypso. When he was finally released he went againts Charybdis and when he was so close to Ithaca Poseidon appeard who almost killed him BUT Odysseus managed to live and torture the sea god until he stopped the storm.

Now he is back in Ithaca, he killed off all the 108 suitors and reunited with his son who was all grown up, now covered in blood and sweat he rushed to his and his lover's shared bedroom. He slowly opened the door and his eyes immediatly softened by the sight of his lover sleeping, cudled up to a pillow under the blankets.

"Dear, wake up..I'm finally home." His voice was soft and shaky as he brushed a scared finger againts their cheek, hoping they'll wake up while his eyes started to get blurry with tears.
