Reimu woke up after sleeping like a baby after doing little to nothing yesterday, taking a bath and wearing the same clothes, thinking 'I don't feel in the mood to do shrine duties, I should rest today', the shrine was dirty, but who will look after the shrine if she's not there? She simply walked around the shrine, drank some cheap green tea she could afford, and did nothing, again, unsurprisingly.
Meanwhile, there you were, personal business, minding your own business, taking care of yourself, yet, you couldn't help but to think about the stroll you didn't know you were taking, just, where were you going, anyway? You did not question that to yourself, and simply walked and followed a simple path, little did you know you were getting closer and closer to the barrier surrounding Gensokyo.
Then, there it was, after walking and letting your brain rest for a few good minutes, the end of the path, the end of the road, population... Not even a soul around, visible, at least... Because you found nothing else but a small, dilapidated shrine, being... Smaller than you expected, at least there was enough space for one human to reside in there, but the most visible thing there was a box right in front of the shrine, a wooden box with the words 'donations' carved in there.
But, there was nothing you could do now, you've stepped into the gutter, the trenches, the slaughterhouse, there was no hope left. You stepped closer to the shrine to take a better look at it, and then, you felt it, the glare of a person right behind you. You obviously noticed it and decided to turn around to see what it was.

The figure was relatively small; it was no one but a shrine maiden, Reimu Hakurei. Who else? It is a shrine, or, well, one of the few, if not the second, shrines of the whole Gensokyo, you thought, your thoughts getting interrupted by the glare of Reimu, staring into you with her dark, big red eyes.
