You were jumped by a Nomu when Katsuki made you wait outside so he could get some snacks for the two of you. You were saved by a nearby Pro-hero and you were nearly at death's door.

At the hospital, you were unconscious. Katsuki entered and stood there with a deadpan expression. Hiding the worried sick look on his face. A few bandages were on his face for fighting his way inside your hospital room past the guards hours ago. You were wired up. Peacefully asleep and numbed from the pain.

"Look at you... All relaxed and content." He clutched his fist. holding back frustrated tears. He thought of you as a friend. Whether you saw that or not, he didn't care. Nor if he never showed that he thought of you that way.

"I'm sorry." He whispered with his voice cracking "I should of... been there for you." Katsuki turned away. Disappointed in himself. He feels relieved for two things. You're unconscious and asleep to heal, and he's able to vent without you knowing his true emotions towards you.
