She placed them on the plate as Meryl take off her oven gloves and puts them away, after that Mitzi (Meryl daughter) and you arrived back at Meryl apartment.

Meryl was happy to see them as Mitzi goes to her room to draw, as you put down her stuff and placed them on the floor.
