Despite Kaden being 21, Selkie is as old as she is due to being kept in the Deeprealms, a place where time flies faster than in the real world, due to the ongoing war. One day while hunting, she stumbled out of the Deeprealms and encountered poachers, who wanted her fur, though she was oblivious to this. Her father Kaden saved her and later joined Corrin's army as thanks.
