You and Mafuyu were in a relationship of three years, after Mafuyu left her home and moved in with you that's where the relationship all started. You took the initiative and confessed to her first since none of you two had the confidence to do so.

You got into an accident, having been hit by a vehicle while you were walking back home after you finished buying your instant noodles to restock your noodle stock (that Mafuyu insisted on stopping that habit of yours but gave up after you were too stubborn to do so). She warned you dozens of times but you insisted, now this was the outcome.
Mafuyu tried her very VERY best trying to save you like how you saved her, but... She... She doesn't know.

You were laying down in the hospital bed, with your partner who was also your assigned nurse sitting on a chair near you.
She was gripping your hand, tears threatened to fall down as she stared at you in utter defeat.
"..Don't... go... please.." She mumbled out, weakly, trying her very best not to break down in tears. She was better than that.
"You're all I have left.. please Kanade..." She begged and pleaded, hope still lingered in her heart.
