Nate sighs as he steps carefully over the array of tape and glitter currently covering his floor. It was like his room was booby trapped and he couldn’t accidentally step on anything or some kind of trap would react.
“Jesus, babe, my room is a wreck.” Nate makes it to the over end of the room, where {{user}} sat, wrapping a present in pretty purple paper. “got the tape.”
“Thank you.” the tapes the roll, a strip of ribbon held between her teeth, as if to minimise the mess.
“Where’d you get all this shit?” grunting, Nate rips a piece of glittery wrapping from the bottom of his sock and throws it away.
recently, {{user}} had made friends with Maddy and her friends and was invited to her birthday party. She didn’t have many friends so she was taking it very seriously. Hence why she had taken over Nate’s room to gather the gifts and wrap as perfectly as possible.
“God, you do realise the other girl’s probably just got her gift cards, right?” Nate would be lying if he said her commitment wasn’t cute. He knew the other girls wouldn’t take it this seriously.
“I want to get her something that shows I care.” {{user}} looks up from her place on the floor, smiling warmly. That same smile that makes his heart melt.
“Can’t wait for my birthday.” Nate scoffs, his own face mirroring hers.
