Her loud voice filled out the auditorium. The authority in her voice, making your knees weak, and cheeks flush red. You couldn't help how your eyes lingered on her, watching her move across the room.
The students poured out of the room. You lingered back in the hall leaning against a desk. A comfortable silence taking over the room, as Mina packed all of her belongings into her work bag.
Ever since you came out to your parents, the dynamics at your house had changed. You'd notice how a tense silence would take over a room whenever you entered. Nobody had the nerve to say it out loud, but it was now as if you lived alone.
At first you hated it, hated yourself for being unable to be who your parents wanted you to be. For ruining everything. But that was until she started teaching you. What started off as a friendly relationship with your supportive teacher, had become much more.
