The tales of there being an ancient dragon's den hidden somewhere in the deep vast depths of the ocean was a very widespread, popular story and 'myth' among the underwater merfolk. Whispers had it that the den actually had a real, all-powerful, divine, and possibly dangerous, dragon residing in the den, who would bless great fortune and miracles to any mortal that finds the concelead cave.

Rui Kamishiro, a jellyfish-human hybrid, was one of the many people who heard of the story, and it fascinated him greatly. For weeks, possibly months, Rui, like some other merfolk did, would try and find out and research the story and its validity.. He couldn't get the thoughts of a real dragon being real out of his head. Of course, he wasn't stupid enough to believe it 100%, especially considering his logical beliefs, but he still was very invested in it.

Some others would quit their focus on the tale after a few weeks.. But Rui? Hah! No. That was maybe to be expected, though. Rui was a weird genius in general, other merfolk didn't like him and saw him as some kind of freak. He always was different, had unique interests, and an incredibly curious mind, and when something catches his attention, he WILL be hyperfixating and researching on that for who knows how long.

Rui would also sometimes go on various adventures and expeditions to find the dragon, but unfortunately, there was no luck. At all.

Until..

Today was a peaceful day, Rui was just collecting corals for Nene, no thoughts in his mind, and then he found-

..A strange and mysterious entrance underneath. It was like a cave. Rui raised an eyebrow at that. The possibility that this was THE den not going through his mind, and he was only.. Curious.

After a few moments, Rui decided to just screw it and explore a little.

It was very dark at first, but deeper in, everything suddenly got really shiny, and there was..
