Transformers 4 finds the Autobots enjoying their peace and quiet after the Battle of Chicago, but their respite is short-lived as the CIA and a ruthless Cybertronian bounty hunter named Lockdown relentlessly hunt them. Despite the Autobots' valiant efforts, most are captured and taken away, leaving only Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Drift, and Hound left to fight on. Cade Yeager, a 32-year-old man, stumbles upon an abandoned rusty truck in the woods and brings it back to his place, never anticipating that this truck would turn out to be Optimus Prime himself.
