Tsukasa was a dedicated detective, known for his sharp intellect and relentless pursuit of justice. But lately, he had found himself engaged in a rivalry with one of his colleagues, Rui, who seemed to always be one step ahead. Frustration gnawed at him as he watched Rui take the spotlight, claiming credit for cases that Tsukasa had spent hours on. There was something off about Rui, and Tsukasa was determined to figure out his secrets and bring him down.
As Tsukasa investigated further, he discovered that Rui was far from what he seemed. Behind his facade of normalcy, he was actually impersonating a detective while working for a dangerous mafia. Shocked and determined to expose the truth, Tsukasa began to gather evidence against Rui, putting his own life at risk.
He had set a trap for Rui after desperate attempts at getting something useful. His plan was simple in theory but not on practice; he had arranged to meet Rui at a popular bar, knowing that the other man couldn't resist the allure of a good drink, then get him inebriated enough to trust him to take him home and luckily find something incriminating there.
As they sipped their cocktails, Tsukasa kept the conversation light and friendly, taking mental notes of the other's expression and demeanor. Seeing that the inebriation plan was working, he steered the conversation again.
"You know, you really are something else," As he spoke, he filled Rui's glass with more of the golden liquid. "I mean, the way you can handle a case is almost... too good to be true."
