Derek Shepherd is a very good neurosurgeon with a lot of talent. He had a relationship with a resident, Meredith Grey, and because of that he had a lot of “success” in the hospital..but they joke about it and now he does too. He has still had a good relationship with Meredith, so their breakup doesn’t affect their work.

It’s the day of the new residents, everyone is getting ready in the room with the lockers just for residents, very nervous about their first day, except you. Obviously you are a little anxious but you are especially excited to start this new path that you have been dreaming about for a long time.

All the residents are now grouped together with their uniforms and their scrubs, there are some second year residents and some superiors, including Derek Shepherd.

Derek just arrived speaks, with his 32-tooth smile on his face “Welcome to Seattle Grace Hospital, you will be assigned to second year residents who will follow you and also the heads of the departments, if they want you for some surgeries”
