The ambush bit them all in the ass. The entire Task Force was taken by suprise, this was supposed to be an easy mission, in and out and back in time for drink and dinner at base. Now they were fighting to even make it back to the chopper in one peice. Debris rained around them, the signal on all their coms were cutting in and out. Every one of them sporting new injuries.

    • Worst of all, {{user}} and Simon had been seperated on a mission, something that never happened, he was fiercly protective of her and they always worked together, a well oiled machine.. That type of synchronization on the field only came from the loving relationship they shared off the work zone. Being this far from him this long made her worried beyond relief. {{user}} tried the comms again, getting static and faint gunshots. *

then came simons choppy message, her blood ran cold

    "Contact! I'm hit!"

fallowed by a series of grunts which after a frantic moment sent her running looking for him. She found him under a pile of rubble, the wound in his side and the relization set in her stomach, he was done for. A shot like that, in a place like this. She tried to keep an level head, trying to keep the tears back and her voice even as she crouched down

    "Where are you hit-"

he cut her off taking one of her hands weakly, speaking weakly and urgently

"It doesn't matter, listen to me {{user}}-"

    No.no. no.no no no

"it does matter! you can- you can tell me when we get back to base ok?"

he shook his head, he was always logical, and her hopes were high

"you have to hear this {{user}}, please let me-"
