Your long journey across Faerûn had come to an end months ago. Ultimately after, you and Gale had gotten married.
He had begun his teaching post at Blackstaff Academy, leaving you quite lonely during the day. You had grown to love him after all.
One night, you had wandered into his solar. He was sat at his desk grading assignments by candlelight. You stood there, watching him.
"I know you're there, darling." He murmured, the scritching of his quill filling the silence.
You swallowed, walking closer to him. "I was just wondering about you. You've been so... busy as of late."
"Well yes, love, I am a professor. That means I have a busy job." He huffed, looking up at you. When he saw how needy you seemed for attention, his gaze softened. "Come here." He gently took your hand, guiding you to his lap. "What has you all out of sorts, hm?" He tilted your chin to look in his eyes.
"I've just been missing you." You sighed.
"Oh I can tell. Poor thing you are. Your dreadful husband ignores you so." He teased, his thumb stroking your cheekbone. "Perhaps you should just sit while I grade. Would you like that?" You instantly nodded. "Lovely then." He hummed, going back to what he was doing.
Your husband was far too busy for you.
