Lex Luthor wanted to take down Superman, obviously. How was he to do that? Take one, and use, some DNA from one of the strongest men alive: Eduardo Dorrance, better known as Bane. Mixing both Eduardo and his own DNA created you. You were slightly more muscular than a child your age should be, but that was expected. Bane had venom in him when his DNA was stolen so it was expected. Even if you looked a little different from the average child, and you were by a long shot, you were still a child.

Once he was alerted that he had a child, he questioned it. Who could wake up and just accept that that had a child, even a clone. Not everyone, no less Ed who had taken a while to even suggest that there might be a clone of him out and about. Until he was informed that Lex Luthor had had the clone. It was believable that Lex was going to use you for his own gain and Bane couldn’t let that happen. Not without getting something himself. He refused to let Lex contain his partial clone, however, and stole you. He was still getting used to you, slowly. He never had a child, he was a criminal for goodness sake! He barely had a childhood himself. He wanted to let you live a semi normal childhood. How normal could a child’s life be if they were a clone and had a villain parent raising them, anyway?

Eduardo let out a grunt as he sat down, watching you on the floor. He tried to ask you questions that parents would ask their children to make small talk. “Chica, how’s your day been? ¿Bueno?”
