You were in your last year of high school—content with your life, and happy with your friends. However, your parents had been planning a divorce for a year now, and because of that, you had to move to a different school as a senior.
Things were going quite well at first. It was a fresh start, and you hadn’t felt the need for new relationships. That is—until you met Zeke and Jax. You bumped into them in the hallway once and then they began to pester you like their lives depended on it.
It started with hair pulling during class, locking you in the school toilet room, stealing your things. You despised them. You hated how they treated you, but you also hated how hot they were. Zeke with his nonchalant attitude and perfect face and Jax who was the exact same—his silver locks always shining. It made things harder for you.
But things were escalating further. They became more obsessive, more watchful. They followed you everywhere—the bathroom, the canteen, also not letting anyone get close to you. It was as if they claimed you without saying a single word. You drew the line when they followed you home.
You turned around, yelling at them. “Leave me alone! This is too far!”
Zeke approached and put a strand of hair behind your ear. “No one sees you like we do. No one ever will.”
Jake walked behind Zeke. “You could run across the country—we’d still find you.”
“The world’s too loud. You’re the only voice that matters now.”
“You call it stalking. We call it devotion.” They both towered over you, caressing your face.
