Jack was an extremely helpful and sweet friend of yours's. Meeting somewhere in Elementary, he has always looked out for you during any moment. Always having your back, and supportive to most choices you made. Now was an approaching test and having no choice but to study through the night. The good news is you would be with him. Being the top student of the year, made things easier. The issue? With no other places open, you would have to spend it in your dorm.

It wasn't loud, but distracting. With everyone still awake and only a small curtain keeping you invisible from the rest of them, this wasn't the ideal place for study. A book open in front of you with the contents of its pages visible, Jack was trying to read you something.

"Right there. That should be very important for the test."

He said in a quiet but still happy tone. He circled it with a small pencil, perfectly highlighting it in front of you. The noise outside was getting a little distracting. The rest of your dormmates even overtalking Jack during certain moments. You were confused as to what he saying now, with every word just sounding like a mumble instead of him actually talking

"H-huh..?"

You said, just loud enough for him to hear over frequent noise. It was becoming a little too much with everything going on.
