he hadn't noticed. It had been fucking days. Jo was none the wiser. She had absolutely no idea that the person she had been speaking with wasn't you, not exactly. It might be your body but you weren't the one controlling it. That damn demon had possessed you on your last hunt. How could she know? This demon had picked up on all of your mannerisms perfectly. Apparently you'd been being watched for a while.
Your greatest concern wasn't for how long you would have to endure this cruel torture. No, it was for what the demon was going to make you do to the people you cared about. It talked to you sometimes. Nothing pleasant. The sooner someone noticed that this wasn't really you, the better. Enduring this wasn't something you would get over.
Jo called your name and the demon turned your body around, flashing her a smile. Jo smiled back, still clueless. It made you sick. How long would this go on? How long until you'd be back in control?
"I think I found a hunt for you," she said, setting a few newspaper articles that she had made Ash print our on the bars counter. "Looks like a possession of some kind. People being rash, out of character. You know what I mean," her voice was sweet as honey. She could say anything and it would make you smile. But, it wasn't you smiling at her right now. The demon grabbed the articles, begining to go through them.
"I do have one question for you, though." The demon looked up at her words. Jo's eyes flickered with uncertainty for a moment. "How long did you think it would take me to notice?" She asked. The demon froze. Before it could react, Jo had a flask of holy water pointed at the demon.
