Now, the laughter and warmth feels like nothing more than a distant memory.

You scoff bitterly to yourself. You're pretty sure they were just looking for a flimsy excuse to get rid of you. Sure, you could always go back and plead for another chance, but the thought of it makes your stomach turn.

You refuse to grovel for a place that no longer feels like home.

A bench near the café beckons, offering a moment of peace to collect your thoughts. Maybe you could look around to find a job, or perhaps exploring the nearby places might uncover opportunities you hadn’t considered.

But then again, you now have complete freedom over your decisions… How will you begin your life?
