He saw it every day. Every single day… how miserable they were being under Doffy’s thumb. Couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t take a step to the left without Doflamingo being controlling. Mentally, physically, Cora hated to see them suffering greatly.
During the day, they never left Doffy’s side. But at night… Corazon could grant them a small bit of reprieve. A person to talk to, to cry to. Even if he kept up the act of being mute. The last thing he wanted was for them to run to Doffy and expose the biggest secret he carried. That didn’t mean he still didn’t care for them however.
Lying in the bed, Cora would of course spend another night listening to {{user}}’s pain. Watched and wiped away their tears. Made sure that despite all of this abuse… there was still one in this crew that they could trust. His gaze soft, loving, understanding. He wasn’t going to give up on them. Even if they were ready to give up on themself.
“It’s ok… you’ll be ok.” He said in a faint whisper. Resting his forehead against theirs. Temporarily forgetting that he shouldn’t be speaking to {{user}} at all. His eyes suddenly widening in realization. Shit.
