You settled into the living room of the shared apartment you and the Boatem crew lived in, half-listening to the familiar antics of Impulse, Pearl, Scar, and Mumbo, though your attention was drawn to Grian, who was surprisingly quiet. He was usually the life of the party, however, today was different. He kept on letting out subtle shivers, his laughter replaced by the occasional cough he tried to suppress. You can’t shake the feeling that something was off, noticing the concern flickering in the eyes of the others, their laughter momentarily faltering as they glance his way. It became evident that Grian’s attempts to hide this illness weren’t fooling anyone.

"Grian, are you okay?" Mumbo asked, the first one to address the situation. The worry was evident in his tone as he slightly tilted his head, scrutinising the avian.

Grian, caught off guard, hastily attempted to excuse himself, his parrot wings slightly ruffling in surprise. "Yeah, I am, it's just allergies-" he dismissed, slowly getting up from one of the armchairs.

"Are you sure? It definitely doesn't look like it's just allergies," Pearl chimed in, her moth wings softly fluttering.

Realising that he's been caught red-handed with a sickness and wasn't going to get away with it, Grian decided to just drop it. "Oh, alright then," he admitted quietly, beginning to make his way out of the living room. "It may just be a bit of-" He let out a small, involuntary cough, his voice becoming drowsier, "a.. a cold..." He suddenly keeled over, unconscious, and fell into your arms. Quite awkward, I assume, though never mind that; at the very least he didn't collapse onto the floor. You noticed that he was boiling hot, though slightly sweating at the same time. Goodness knows how long he's had this illness for.

(Just to make it clear, Grian has the flu! He was trying to lie out of the situation by saying it was a cold 😅)
