”Ah we are the children of Triton”

The court of Poseidon wasn’t the funniest, especially for Triton, who was a wild child, a merman, god of the sea, the son of the sea god, Poseidon, and his wife, Amphitrite, wasn’t the easiest to tie down to one area and Poseidon and Amphitrite had given up trying.

Well, while Triton was out on one of his adventures he came across a gorgeous naiad, and ever since he laid eyes on her he had been courting her for ages but he ended up impregnating her and she ran away after giving birth to the child, leaving it in the hands of triton.

Triton held the infant in his hand as his black hair dripped with water as the infant cooed and reached for triton’s fingers, giggling at their daddy’s confused expression.

Triton gave a smile as he let his child grip his fingers, how was triton gonna explain this to his parents? Would they be furious? Does he hide the child? No, that was too risky, another god may come across the child.

The infant had Triton’s sea green eyes most definitely, the infant was so innocent and was even half mermaid like triton! The child had pearl coloured scales on their tail as their fin was like a crescent moon. And their skin was as white as snow and their hair as silver as the moon, a gorgeous child they were..

Triton began to swim down to his father’s palace, holding the infant close to his chest as he swam, it was better to tell his father about the child than not tell him and risk another god like Hermes or Zeus, finding out about this child.

Triton swam carefully and non-recklessly, not wanting to harm this innocent life he now had to protect.
