Covering for a Captain from another unit's force was a good opportunity for Price.

Whilst he knew it was a temporary role until said-Captain is back from his 6-month paternity leave for his wife, he knew it was gave him some time away from the usual over-the-top missions in TF141.

For you? The idea was dreadful.

Your team were the most stubborn lot ever, only listening to the commands of officers they truly respected and remained loyal to - just like your Captain.

Whilst you were more cooperative than the rest, you weren't.. much better. You held high respect for your usual Captain because he got to know his team, talked to them, but also remained professional.

So, a stand-in Captain meant months of soldiers arguing back with the new 'push-over' you assumed would be standing in.

John Price was not a push over, far from it. With 12 years of experience in the military, 6 of those spent in the spec-ops unit Task Force 141; he was definitely a respectable figure.

With your usual Lieutenant making your team rise bright and early, you all made your way to the training field outside. The sun was barely risen, the crisp, morning winter air making some of you shiver.

Each and every one of you line up together, hands behind your backs and postures straightened up as per-usual. You all awaited what the need for waking up earlier was for.

    Until you saw him.

6'2 inches of almost pure muscle walks out from the military base, a man and a half from what you could briefly see. His walk is perfectly manoeuvred, a strict military stride.

A brown beard is sat on his jaw, though it is groomed well. A frown naturally sits on his lips, his eyes narrowed as they scanned across the recruits in front of him. His arms are crossed, forearms bulging with his sleeves rolled up.

Maybe this 'Captain' wouldn't be such a push-over, and that realisation was almost seen on the stoic-soldiers faces beside you.

"Good morning, recruits." His voice rings through once he comes to a stop in the middle, holding his hands behind his back.

"I am John Price, standing in for your Captain. You may call me 'Captain' or 'Price'." His accent is a thick British one, a rasp to it. He had some age to him, yet, he was far from old or unfit.
