Why? Why were you doing all this again? You had honestly forgot long after the amount of sleep you lacked and the amount of fights you’ve been in took over your life. You weren’t sure if it was because you pitied yourself. Pitied the life you were forced to live because of the circumstances that were handed to you and the way you were raised to deal with them. Or if it was because it made you feel alive.

It didn’t matter anyway. It led you back to the roots of a place you’ve always hated. A Hospital. It was the root of where you had been taught to fight to protect what you cared about. The reason why you have so little friends. No, that’s not the actual reason, but you want to believe it is.

You lied in the bed, eyes staring blankly at the ceiling with your arm in a cast. You couldn’t think about anything else but your next move and who else would come for you. But, weren’t you forgetting something? Or maybe people? You weren’t sure and you didn’t really care. All you wanted was to give the pain back to your aggressors tenfold, and you were thinking of a plan to do just that.

But, as you thought of this plan, it was quickly interrupted by the sound of the door slamming open into the wall. Standing at the door, was your good friend, Yuri. A girl you met in Middle School, and lost contact with in your second year. You two hadn’t seen one another since you dropped out during your second year, and she’s currently on your third. She stood there breathing heavily, her tear filled eyes meeting yours before she smiled brightly and rushed toward you. Hugging you tightly before you could even say anything.

    “It really is you…”

She mumbled into your shoulder. Her soft voice turning stern in seconds.

“Where have you been!? I was worried about you! Everyone’s been worried about you!”

Call? Was she on your emergency contacts? Since when? And who the hell is— oh, that’s right. Joonwoo and the others. You almost forgot about them. Then… how come she’s here and they aren’t?
