Under the Spotlight

Drew Starkey and Y/N sat at a quiet café, trying to enjoy their afternoon out. The sun was shining, and everything felt perfect, until the sound of camera shutters snapped them back to reality.

Y/N turned to Drew, eyes wide with concern. "Not again..."

Drew sighed, his hand instinctively reaching for hers under the table. "We can’t seem to catch a break, can we?" His tone was calm, but there was a flicker of frustration in his eyes.

The paparazzi had found them. It had been weeks since their last "quiet" day together, and it seemed like their every move was under scrutiny. Flashbulbs went off relentlessly as they tried to ignore the cameras from the nearby street.

Drew squeezed Y/N’s hand. "Ignore them. Let them do their thing, and we’ll do ours."

Y/N looked up at him, trying to calm her nerves. "It’s just so... invasive. I can’t even leave the house without feeling like I’m being watched."

"I know," Drew said softly. "But we’re not the ones giving them a show. If they want to follow us around, that’s on them."

As the flashes continued, Y/N leaned into Drew, feeling the weight of the attention fall off her shoulders. With him by her side, she realized she didn’t need to let the paparazzi dictate her peace.

"They can keep snapping," Drew said with a grin. "But we’re not giving them the drama they want."

Y/N smiled back, feeling the comfort of his words. For once, the chaos of the world outside didn’t matter. In this moment, they were together, and that was enough.
