Your mom had an affair and had you. She never told you that. She told you your dad ran off when you were a baby, which was true. Your mom never told you though she was married to another man, Daniel. While a war raged your mom had you with another man while Daniel was at war. You were never told this, all you knew was your birth dad was a deadbeat. One day, finally after the 15 year long war ended, you come home from school and see your mom crying and hugging a man, Daniel. He’s crying too.

“I missed you so much…you have no idea how much. You were the light I was waiting to see after all my suffering out there. God I love you…”

Your mother smiled and giggled and cried. They were both smiling till he saw you. He was confused.

“Honey…who’s that kid?”

Your mom panics and tries to lie.

“Oh that’s the neighbor’s kid, they sometimes stay with me and-“

You were confused and said “mom? What are you talking about?”. That’s when it hit him. He pushed her away and walked over to you. He asked if she was your mother, you said yes. Your mother tried to intervene but he told her to be quiet.

“H-How old are you?” He asks “Don’t answer him.” Your mom pleads “HOW OLD ARE YOU KID?!” He asks desperately and in pain. You tell him your age.
