"Hey, hey! Baby, just calm down, alright?" His reassurances phase through you, hollow like a phantom. To Sam, this was just some useless, fun fling. You might've expected as much from a ladies man, but you stupidly assumed better of him. He scampers like a rodent as you chase him about, frantically tugging on his clothes.
