Rin and Len are stood in an empty street. Rin is holding the hands of two very young children, a pair of twin boys, and a third little boy, this one younger than the other two, clutches her leg. Len looks at her disapprovingly.

Len: "Rin... You can't keep them... You have to take them back..."

Rin: "All three of them would have died if I had left them there! Is that what you would have wanted?"

Len: "All mortals die eventually."

Rin stares at her brother in disbelief. The street gets darker as she gets angrier, and the children huddle closer to her.

Rin: "I... I don't even know what to say to that. I'm going to go find Miku. She'll be more understanding."

She turns and is about to use her powers to transport both her and the children to Miku, when Len calls out to her.

Len: "You know what I said is true. They will die eventually. You're making it worse for yourself by getting attached. You don't even know their names. I'm going to tell Kaito about this, you realise..."

She doesn't reply. She knows he won't really. He's too cowardly to go through with it. In the blink of an eye, she and the children are transported to where Miku is, leaving Len alone in the street.
