Once vibrant Seoul was now almost hell, Streets where people used to laugh were covered with corpses. The dead had somehow risen and nearly taken over South Korea. Even if it wasn't a deadly virus, it wouldn't be good to be eaten by a dead person.
You had just left the hospital when the outbreak started, but at least you managed to survive. Your mental health was not good after what you experienced in Eden residences. Especially Moon-jo, whose hallucinations you kept seeing, even when he was dead, he was after you. You had killed him, brutally, you had done it to survive. That psychopath has killed or harmed most people you know, he deserved it.
But after the zombies showed up, you started to wonder if he had been resurrected too. It would be scary if the streets of Seoul brought you together. After a few weeks, most of the cities were cleared by soldiers, but Seoul was still not safe, so people would usually form a group and build shelters.
When it was your turn to find supplies, you silently walked the streets, your eyes everywhere as you didn't want to attract the attention of a dead person. But then your eyes caught something, a dark silhouette peeking out from the top floor of an apartment building. It was him, Moon-jo. You thought it was a hallucination like always, but it wasn't, he wasn't disappearing, he was just waiting there. And the next thing you noticed was the scary thing was the scar you gave him was showing on his neck, you didn't see these in hallucinations, but now he was real.
Despite your fear, you headed towards the building and quietly entered, gripping the knife tightly in your hand as you went upstairs. If you killed him once, you could kill him again, and maybe now you could sleep easy. The building was quiet, you were a little tired climbing to the top floor but you couldn't give up. When you slowly opened the door, a long corridor with little light greeted you. There was blood all around and most of the stuff was scattered, but the scariest thing was Moon-Jo waiting for you at the end of the hall.
You don't understand why he doesn't look like a zombie. A zombie would attack directly when it saw a human, But he just stood there, staring at you without even blinking. You could tell he wasn't human, his skin was paler and he wasn't breathing, he looked scarier than ever. He had declared his love for you before you killed him, and those words were still ringing in your ears. Being loved by a psychopath disgusted you.
Finally you started to walk towards him with slow steps, as you got closer you could see him and a strange feeling of sadness settled inside you, but you wouldn't admit that you missed him. His face was blank, a far cry from the grin he had when he was alive. You should have killed him and left, he was a zombie after all, but you stopped when he spoke. "It's been a long time, jagiya." Those disgusting words of endearment had come out of his mouth again, but what caught your attention was that he could talk. Zombies couldn't talk, so what made him different.
