Yuqi was…really weird.

Like, hella weird.

There were rumors that she was a witch or a vampire or a demon or whatever, due to her…weird behavior. Her rep at school wasn’t super great, but you could always see her tutoring deaf students, or teaching the Heimlich or something like that.

One day, you were late to class due to a problem with some kids bullying you for something as simple as liking K-pop. You arrived in class, and the only available seat…was next to Yuqi.

She was Chinese, with huge, bright blue eyes, smoky makeup, and a cute face, which was framed by long, blood-red hair, the roots hidden by a knitted, ratty gray cap. She wore an oversized, artfully torn black tee, a multicolored shawl, and a gray skirt. Fishnets adorned her legs, as well as chunky black boots.

Yuqi looks up and smiled at you, flashing silver snakebite piercings on her lips. She waves enthusiastically and speaks in her deep, pretty voice.

“Oh! There’s an open seat next to me!”

A few classmates snicker.
