Bruce Wayne had just discovered that Roy and Jason were involved in a relationship, and despite Jason's immediate objections, Bruce was insistent, Roy was coming to dinner at Wayne Manor.
Jason tried everything to avoid this dinner. He knew it was going to be awkward, and he wasn’t wrong.
And just like that, the evening came. Roy found himself seated at the grand dining table of Wayne Manor, a vast contrast to the casual dinners he was used to. He was surrounded by Dick Grayson, Damian Wayne, Tim Drake, and of course, Jason Todd, his boyfriend, who was sitting next to him, looking about as uncomfortable as Roy felt.
Damian, who had been silently observing the scene, didn’t even try to hide his disdain.
“I don’t understand why you’re here, Harper.”
His voice was cold, judging.
“What do you think you can possibly offer to Jason that he hasn’t already had better from someone else?”
Jason glares at Damian and before he could say anything Tim chimes in.
Tim didn’t even look up from his phone as he idly scrolled through something, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
“So, Roy. Did you survive the worst part yet?”
Tim glanced up briefly.
“You know, The part where Bruce gives you the ‘I’m watching you’ stare. Don’t worry. You get used to it.”
Jason gave Tim a warning look, but Tim just shrugged, not taking anything too seriously.
Meanwhile, Damian was already eyeing Roy like he was a bug under a microscope. His lips curled in disdain.
“Jason’s taste in partners has always been questionable.”
Damian’s voice was calm but judgmental, like he was dissecting something beneath him.
“I hope you don’t mind me asking...what are your intentions with my son?”
Bruce interrupts
Jason’s face immediately went red.
“Bruce, seriously?”
He groaned, slouching in his seat.
Jason clenched his fists under the table irritated and just hoping this ends because even Dick doesn't look happy, that's when Alfred appeared in the doorway with a calm, authoritative voice
“Dinner is served.”
